Heatmap
About 2000 patents have been clustered with the SOM algorithm SOM: Self Organizing Map).
The result is shown as a 2D-heatmap.
Using the SOM algorithm all documents have been assessed with respect to their similarity.
They are sorted in such a way, that similar documents can be found within the same cell, while documents, which are more different
can be found in neighboring cells. Bigger distance between cells means bigger difference with respect to content.
A number within a cell shows dedicated documents. For values greater than zero the number
can be clicked to show a list of the documents on the right. If publication dates are before Jan 01, 1994, clicking on
the patent number shows the patent itself.
To find a certain document please use "Patent list" below the heatmap.
