Abstract of EP0492296
A hot-channel alteration device for injection moulds has a heatable
alteration block (6), which is cast with copper or copper alloy (10)
and is provided in one piece with a connecting piece (8), which bears
an injection nozzle (4). A tube (5), forming the alteration channel (3)
for the polymer melt, and electric heating tubes (11) are cast together
in copper or copper alloy (10) in the alteration block (6) and in the
connecting piece (8). The alteration block (6) forms with the adjoining
connecting piece (8) a one-piece component without any joint at which a
leak could occur.
