Zusammenfassung:
Geschäftsprozesse von Unternehmen sind in aller Regel sehr gut dokumentiert und durch IT unterstützt, zumindest dann, wenn nur Kernprozesse betrachtet werden. Je nach Geschäftsmodell kommt entweder ein ERP- oder ein CRM-System zum Einsatz oder eine Branchensoftware, mit deren Unterstützung die im QM-Handbuch beschriebenen Prozesse ganz oder teilweise automatisiert werden können. Anders ist die Situation dort, wo es um Strategie-, QM-, Wissens- oder In-novationsprozesse geht. Hier ist nach wie vor oft Handarbeit gefragt.
Im Vortrag wird an Beispielen exemplarisch gezeigt, wie auch Prozesse aus diesen Bereichen ohne komplizierte Voraussetzungen durch IT unterstützt werden können.

Kontinuierlicher Verbesserungsprozess - KVP: Basis für neue Produkte und Prozesse sind Ideen der Mit-arbeiter, Kunden und Lieferanten. Gelingt es, alles ohne große Mühe an einer Stelle zusammen zu führen, fällt es leichter, Zusammenhänge zu erkennen und Prioritäten zu setzen.

Internes Audit und Technologie-Roadmapping: Zahlreiche Abläufe einer Organisation außerhalb des Bereichs der Kernprozesse werden über Checklisten „gesteuert“, die als mitgeltende Dokumente im QM-Handbuch genannt sind. Mit wenigen Handgriffen lassen sich solche Checklisten als Vorlagen für Prozesse benutzen, die dann mit IT-Unterstützung ablaufen. Internes Audit und Technologie-Roadmapping stehen hier exemplarisch für viele andere Vorgänge.

Patentrecherche: Unter einer Patentrecherche versteht man in der Regel eine Recherche zum Stand der Technik als Vorbereitung bei der Beurteilung der Erfolgsaussichten einer Patentanmeldung. Es kann jedoch auch sehr lohnend sein, nach abgelaufenen Patenten zu suchen, um diese nicht mehr geschützten Technologien in das eigene Portfolio zu integrieren.

Über den Referenten:
Der Referent war nach einem Studium der technischen Physik an der Universität Bayreuth zehn Jahre lang als Leiter IT und Gruppenleiter Funktionskeramische Dünnschichten am Fraunhofer Institut für Silicatforschung in Würzburg tätig. Seit 1996 ist er Inhaber des Ingenieurbüros Numberland.

Numberland unterstützt einerseits auf dem Werkstoffsektor tätige Unternehmen bei der Verbesserung ihrer Strategie-, QM-, Wissens- oder Innovationsprozesse. Darüber hinaus arbeitet Numberland als Vermittler zwischen Entwicklern und Anwendern von neuen Werkstoffen, Herstellungs- und Analytikverfahren.

Electrical Conductive Textiles - Looking for Partners for a Horizon 2020 project

A group of R&D institutions from Europe is looking for further partners which are invited to participate - academic as well as industrial.

State of the Art:

• Metal coatings via PVD (physical vapour deposition) on rovings or textiles

Drawbacks:

• Coated textile:
  • Modern textiles consist of fibre bundles (rovings) with a high number of single filaments. Only the outer surface of the textile is coated and the inner rovings and filaments are uncoated. An extremely inhomogeneous distribution of the layer thickness will result.

• Coating of rovings:
  • In contrast to the textiles the coatability of rovings is better but the uniformity issues regarding the inner filaments remain.  
  • A subsequent processing of rovings for the manufacture of textiles can damage the layer due to mechanical loads.

Project Idea - well beyond State of the Art:

• Application of ALD (atomic layer deposition) technology for the deposition of electrically conductive (and transparent) layers on rovings or textiles for the integration of more functions in textiles.
• Fabrication of (mixed) oxides, e.g. ZnO / Al2O3 for formation of TCO (transparent conductive oxides) like ZnO:Al
• Layers with a thickness up to 100 nm covering each single filament homogeneously.
• Deposition temperature below 200 °C (e.g. Al2O3: RT possible; ZnO: 120 - 200°C)

Achievements:

We can offer a deposition technology which could be suitable to deposit electrical conductive layers on textile fibers. Regarding the requested issue we have successfully addressed following problems which are similar:

• Deposition of approx. 30 nm alumina on carbon fiber-based 3D-textile preforms
• Resulting layers on 3D-textile preforms are homogeneous and conformal to all fibre bundles and filament
• Deposition of transparent conductive layers (TCO) on float glass substrates
• TCO material is ZnO:Al
• Eelectrical resistance is 14 Ohm/sqr. @ approx. 50 nm layer thickness
• Deposition temperature 150 °C

The deposition technology is an adapted atomic layer deposition (ALD). In principle the deposition of a TCO layer can be done also at lower temperatures than 150 °C. But this requires further investigations of the process and the coatings at lower process temperatures. This development can be done according to the demands of the client.

Klassische Herangehensweise bei der IT-Unterstützung von Projekten und Prozessen

Aus klassischer Sicht wird streng zwischen Projekten und Prozessen unterschieden.

Projekte sind einmalige Vorgänge, die hinsichtlich ihrer Ressourcen und ihrem Ablauf geplant und überwacht werden müssen. Die ist die Aufgabe des Projektmanagers, der dazu eine Projektmanagement-Software benutzt. In vielen Fällen ist dies eine Einzelplatz-Software. Jedes Projekt wird in einer eigenen Datei gespeichert.

Prozesse hingegen sind wiederholt ablaufende Vorgänge, die durch ein ERP- oder ein CRM-System oder eine Branchensoftware unterstützt werden (im weiteren als Prozess-SW bezeichnet). Geschäftsprozesse werden entweder mitgeliefert und konfiguriert, oder mit mehr oder weniger großem Aufwand neu erstellt. Ein großer Teil der Prozess-SW konzentriert sich auf die Unterstützung von Kernprozessen im Unternehmen, die dann auch im QM-Handbuch dokumentiert werden. Anders ist die Situation dort, wo es um Strategie-, QM-, Wissens- oder Innovationsprozesse geht. Hier ist nach wie vor oft Handarbeit gefragt.

Weil in zahlreichen Fällen weder die eine noch die andere Variante sinnvoll ist, werden Abläufe, die nicht durch die vorhandene Prozess-SW unterstützt werden, mit Hilfe von Groupware und Office abgebildet; Die Dokumentation - auch die des Projektfortschritts -  erfolgt mit Office (Checklisten), die Verteilung der Aufgaben über eine Groupware.

Vorteile (der klassischen Herangehensweise):

• Groupware und Office sind in vielen Unternehmen vorhanden
• die Benutzung ist bekannt

Nachteile (der klassischen Herangehensweise):

• Der inhaltliche Zusammenhang zwischen den Aufgaben geht verloren
• nur der Projektleiter hat außerhalb von Besprechungen oder Berichten eine Übersicht über den Fortschritt
• es werden viele Mails zwischen Beteiligten verschickt, um Zwischenstände zu kommunizieren. Die Übersicht über den aktuellen Projektstand wird dadurch nicht verbessert.
